. Oral Presentations A Speaker’s Preparation Room will be available in the conference venue (RDS) and open for the duration of the conference. All speakers are requested to report to the Speaker’s Preparation room with their material at least 24 hours before they are due to speak. If you are only attending the conference for one day, please ensure you bring your material to the Speaker’s Room before 08:30 on the same day. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint. If you have any videos to be played, we request that you bring a copy on DVD. All speakers are requested to complete the HTAI 2010 Annual Meeting - Speaker Requirements Form Duration of Presentations Plenary Speakers: A total of 18-20 minutes will be allocated per speaker. There will be a general Question and Answer session at the end of the plenary session. Parallel Panels: Each parallel panel session is scheduled to last 90 minutes. Please liaise with the panel leader for time allocations. Special Sessions: Each special session is scheduled to last 90 minutes. Please liaise with the session leader for time allocations. Satellite Symposia: Each satellite symposium is scheduled to last 90 minutes. Please liaise with the session leader for time allocations. Networking Sessions: Each networking session is scheduled to last 90 minutes. Please liaise with the session leader for time allocations. HTA Policy and Practice Interactive Session: For authors awarded presentations in the HTA Policy and Practice interactive sessions, a total of 8 minutes will be allocated per speaker. Oral Presentations: For authors awarded oral presentations, a total of 15 minutes will be allocated per speaker. We recommend that you limit your presentation to a maximum of 12 minutes to allow time for questions For all speakers: The chair of your session will stop your presentation after the allocated time, in order to ensure that there is sufficient time for the other papers in your session Registration All authors with accepted abstracts were required to register by the early registration deadline of April 30th in order for their abstract to remain in the Scientific Programme. Posters Poster presentations should be AO in size (84cm X 119cm or 33in X 47in) and be portrait style. If your poster is not portrait style, it will not fit on the conference poster board provided. Posters will be displayed in the Industries Hall and in the Serpentine Hall at the conference venue (RDS). There will be two poster sessions: one on Monday and one on Tuesday. Presenters may refer to the Abstract Book to confirm their poster session. Poster presenters are requested to stand-by their posters during the coffee breaks on their poster session day and to take note of the following schedule for poster set up, viewing and dismantling. Monday Poster Session: Set up: Sunday June 6th from 8.00am to 7.00pm Viewing: Monday June 7th 8.00am to 4.30pm Dismantling: All Monday posters to be removed by 6.00pm on Monday Tuesday Poster Session: Set up: Monday June 7th from 6.00pm to 8.00pm Viewing: Tuesday June 8th from 8.00am to 4.00pm Dismantling: Before 1.30pm on Wednesday June 9th In addition, poster presenters are encouraged to bring up to 200 A4 size copies of their poster. Poster prizes will be awarded to the best poster presentations. CME Credits The HTAi 2010 Annual Meeting has applied for accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Educations – EACCME. This is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and is recognised by American Medical Association. Information on accreditation and the exact number of CME credits will be available soon at www.htai2010.org Please note speaker details may have been supplied to the European Accreditation Council in order to obtain CME accreditation for the HTAi conference. Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest The HTAi 2010 Organising Committee is committed to providing an unbiased, balanced and objective educational and scientific programme. In accordance with CME guidelines, all speakers at HTAi 2010 are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest or support that may cause a bias. This must be stated at the beginning of your presentation and in all printed materials. Company Logos Please note that it is HTAi policy, not to allow company logos and other promotional material in any of the session rooms. All speakers should ensure these do not appear on any conference presentations. Publication Congress abstracts will be published electronically in the National Library of Medicine and also in the Annual Meeting abstract book. Therefore, published HTAi 2010 abstracts will be citable. In accordance with HTAi guidelines, it is intended that all slides used in the oral presentations will be made available on the meeting website in a secure PDF format as soon as possible after the meeting closes. Permission to include the slides on the web is sought on the Speaker Requirements Form. Press Please note that conference photographers and members of the accredited press will be in attendance at the meeting taking photos as part of routine publicity for the event. |
